How to Get My Pomeranian to Be More Friendly to Other Dogs?

Don't make the same mistakes I made with my Pomeranian!

Our Pomeranian is quite aggressive around other dogs. He will be turning 1 year on June 10 so he’s still pretty young. He tries to bite at other dogs and doesn’t like them. He is a sweet dog with people but we want him to have doggy friends. Any suggestions?

Probably your Pomeratian is not aggressive, is possessive.
When your dog see the other dog it moves the ears , you have a millisecond to say NO! to your dog before it attack the other dog, then you have to go immediately away.

Don’t leave the dog decide for you about other dogs, you are the master and you decide.

When he snaps or even growls give him a little tug on the leash, tell him NO,and don’t say "ITS OKAY PUPPY, BE NICE" becuase it is NOT okay! Correct him over and over and over again. Untill he ignores the other dogs. Let him smell the others if he wants but correct him the moment growls or snips at the other dog. Don’t hold the leash tight, make him come to you to loosen it not you to him. Take treat for him if he is going good or does something good.

Socialization – the more you socialize your dog will new experience the less likey he will bark, bite or be scared of other dogs. Introduce your dog to dogs and other experiences (on the leash) and do this regularly – before long you will see a big difference.

    Hope this helps.

I agree with Mario.. When the dog goes to be aggressive you need to just turn and walk away.. Anything you say is attention the dog wants from you.
